AGOURA ENGINEERING CIRCLE
Welcome to the Agoura Engineering Circle.
Agoura Engineering Circle (AEC) has completed a strong academic year (2025 - 2026), successfully delivering interdisciplinary STEM programs to a growing community of learners at no cost. The coming year marks an important evolution for AEC: an expanded four-course curriculum spanning both semesters. This reflects deliberate, thoughtful evolution of existing courses. The Introduction to AI course is being revised to place greater emphasis on conceptual understanding as well as real-world applications - ensuring students develop genuine insight into how AI works, not just technical algorithms and surface-level familiarity with tools. The Foundations of Data Science course is similarly being revised to be more project-based, giving students more hands-on experience with real datasets and end-to-end problem solving.
A new course Concept to Creation: Engineering Design and 3D Modeling offered in Spring 2026 is one of AEC's most distinctive new offerings - and one that fills a genuine gap in students' educational pathways. Engineering design and 3D modeling form the foundational language of nearly every physical engineering discipline. Students who develop fluency here are better prepared for mechanical engineering, civil engineering, aeronautical and aerospace engineering, robotics, and many other fields where translating ideas into designed, buildable structures is a core professional skill.
Another new course scheduled for Spring 2027 Foundations of Cryptology - Cryptanalysis & Modern Cryptography is designed with a dual impact in mind. In addition to its academic value as a rigorous introduction to cryptanalysis and modern cryptography, the course is specifically structured to prepare students for real-world applications and academic milestones.
All courses are offered virtually on alternate weekends, making them accessible to students across the greater Los Angeles area and beyond. Instruction, materials, and registration are provided entirely free of charge.
